
“Chartreuse tendrils... My precious sustenance”
Margo Rivera-Weiss was a local Oakland artist and community activist. They created an eclectic body of art in the style of Tropical Expressionism.
For nearly twenty years, Margo was a beloved part of the Women’s Community Resource Center (WCRC) in Oakland. They curated the JanRae Community Gallery on-site at WCRC showcasing Oakland artists. They created the WCRC Wellness program, teaching a monthly sketchbook class which became a community event.
